o___o Okay. So I'm damn near gifted at confusing doctors.

This morning at about 7:45 I was all happily asleep when this bubbling, scratching sort of sound...in my head. It felt like something was crawling around in my inner ear. Naturally, I'm going "OK, WTF D8" and felt entirely schizophrenic for clawing at my ear to stop the noise. Tried q-tips and changing positions of my head and things of that nature and the noise persisted.

I phoned the mother. She panicked and insisted I go to the emergency room. So I just went to the on campus health center. Went up to the front desk and this was basically the exchange:
"c: Hi! Can I help you?"
"c: Yeah! I woke up with...um...noise? In my head?"
"...o_o Okay, I'm gonna put you on the urgent care list. Have a seat."

This was already promising. So I waited around and went to see the first nurse about it and she was very confident in telling me it was just ear congestion and I shouldn't worry. I insisted they at least look at my ear, though. 8| I mean, that's why I was there. So after more waiting, they finally look in my ear and realize, lulz, it's not wax buildup or ear congestion. In fact, I have almost NO wax in that ear. So they went. "o_o Oh! ...Kay, wait here and we'll get the doctor."

More waiting. Again. So the doctor comes in and looks in my ears. No wax buildup, no congestion, no fluids, no sinus infections or congestions that could be blocking tubes...no apparent reason for the noise. oO The final diagnosis was, I swear to you, exactly this:

"Well...Quien sabe! *salute* You're free to go. 8D"

"Who knows"?? Really? 8| I could've told you that and I'm not a doctor. Though I have a history of baffling doctors. I managed to tear a meniscus with no history of sports, physical activity or trauma. Poor knee doctor didn't know what to say.

Ironically enough, this was the one day this week I'd get to sleep in...so I was up until 2 or 3. 8| Sadface.
